Nayev
A Wet Paint Production, in association with Promegrate Pictures. Directed by Sevag Vrej; Produced by Betty Berberian and Sevag Vrej.
Another raucously funny monologue covering a variety of subjects, including such topics as life after 40, the Armenian condition in the Diaspora, and Vahé’s experience of visiting Armenia for the first time. The piece was performed to packed venues in over a dozen cities throughout the world.
Vahé performed Nayev for over three months at Rococo in Pasadena, California. A performance of this piece was recorded live on video in July, 2002. According to Vahé, "Nayev is, in many ways, the continuation of his earlier monologue, Yevaylen. He explains, "Nayev includes even more stories about my family, along with meditations on being an Armenian in the diaspora. It also contains reflections and impressions of my trips to Armenia."
According to one of the producers of the show, Betty Berberian, "We produced the video for those who missed the performances, as well as for those who couldn't get enough."
$20.00 (VHS, 1 hour, 22 minutes. Armenian. Shipping and handling not included)
Yevaylen
A Wet Paint Production, in association with Argus Pictures. Produced by Ara Madzounian and Vahé Berberian
A hilarious monologue about growing up in an Armenian family in Lebanon. Vahé describes his experiences as a member of the Armenian Diaspora. The monologue was performed live in several cities across the US. A performance of this piece was recorded live on video at Rococo, in Pasadena, California in August 2000, and is currently available.
Vahé states, “I think this is the best way of bringing together the actor and the writer inside of me, by simply telling stories. These are stories from my childhood … stories about my family and meditations on the archetypical Armenian.”
Dagaveen
A Wet Paint Production, in association with Argus Pictures. Directed by Ara Madzounian. Produced by Betty Berberian.
Vahe’s third hysterically funny and engaging monologue tackles diverse topics such as family, marriage, surveys, concentrating on the Armenian American identity and finally the importance of laughter. Along with personal stories and meditations on the Armenian condition, Vahe tries to find an answer to the question “Are the Armenians truly happy, or – as an Irish newspaper claims – are we the saddest nation on the planet?”
Vahe performed Dagaveen for over four months at Rococo in Pasadena, California, and has taken the show on the road to various cities in the U.S., Canada and Europe to packed audiences.
“This the first time we have produced DVDs along with the videos, and they include a 10 minute interview with Berberian, where he candidly speaks about his art. We produced the video for two reasons, for those who missed the performances and for individuals who couldn’t get enough,” says the producer Betty Berberian.
The live performance was recorded in May, 2004.
$20.00 for the VHS and $20.00 for DVD copies. 1 hour, 30 minutes. In Armenian. (Shipping and handling not included)

Written and performed by Vahe Berberian.
A Wet Paint Production. Directed by Gor Kirakosian. Produced by Christina Shirinyan.

With Sagayn, Berberian has pushed the envelope by finding absurdity and great humor in not just the Armenian, but the human condition in general. With his unique spin on everyday topics such as weddings, religion, Armenian characteristics and everything in between, Berberian will keep you laughing long after the show is over.
Berberian performed Sagayn for three months at The Brandview Collection in Glendale and has taken the show on the road to various cities in the U.S. and abroad to packed audiences. “Sagayn’s success was phenomenal,” says producer Shirinyan, “We had an incredibly diverse audience that simply loved it and kept on coming back for more. The response to the show in the Armenian communities during the tour has been simply sensational.”
